Caelia

Caelia, also known as celestia, closely represent the idea of “the gods” as we'd have known them from mythology. They are the caretakers of various facets within Domhaine. The god of fertility, the carrier of the stars, the keeper of the dead, and so forth.

They are mortal souls that do not know death or old age, but they can cease to exist. For if they are to “die” they are gone forever. Though, it is hard to kill something that does not have a physical body, to kill a caelia, you must break the soul.

Caelia know no struggle, no pain, and live for eternia and thus most of them only know their work. Some get bored of this existence. So, from time to time, toil in the affairs of mortal beings or tease other caelia.

Caelia have no natural form. Instead, they take on the shape of what we can preceive of their instance. For example, a "god of death" can look like both a raven or a cat to different cultures. When we think of a creature, and relate it to a feeling. For us to understand the caelia, they draw from the emotion related to a form, and become that form for our understanding.

Being non-physical entities, they operate more in a "community of conciousness". That is, they are shapeless clouds of energy, yet streams of unique intelligence form away from the others. Each stream is a caelia Even if one of these forms cease to exist, only that uniqueness is gone and that energy returns to the void to one day shape a new conciousness.
